We collect information you provide directly, such as name, email address, Social Security Number (for identity verification), income, employment details, and bank account information when you apply for a loan. We also collect device and usage data automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

Your information is used to: (1) process and evaluate your loan application; (2) communicate with you about your application and account; (3) comply with legal and regulatory requirements; (4) prevent fraud and verify your identity; (5) improve our products and services.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) for credit reporting; identity verification services; our bank partners who fund loans; and regulatory authorities as required by law. All third parties are contractually required to protect your information.

Rise Up Lending reports loan performance to all three major credit bureaus monthly. On-time payments build your credit history. Late payments and defaults are also reported. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with credit bureaus.

We use 256-bit SSL encryption for all data transmission. We are SOC 2 Type II certified — meaning an independent auditor verifies our security practices annually. Access to your personal data is restricted to employees who need it to perform their job duties.

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements); opt out of marketing communications at any time; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. We use essential cookies for security and functionality, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand usage. You may opt out of analytics cookies via your browser settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We retain personal information for the duration of your loan relationship plus 7 years as required by federal law (Bank Secrecy Act, FCRA). Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
